Minister of Economic Development of Russia supported the establishment of Special Economic Zone in Voronezh region

November , 24 , Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev supported the project on creation of SEZ in Voronezh region at a meeting with Governor of Voronezh Region Alexei Gordeyev.

During discussion of the plan of the special economic zone of industrial type, great attention was paid to the issues of customs building, engineering and transport infrastructure in the proposed SEZ project.

The plan of SEZ forming is under negotiation - an application form is prepared for the Ministry of Economic Development, financial model is developed. Seven companies have already signed an agreement of intention on investment projects implementation on the territory of special economic zone in the industrial park «Maslowski».

For effective management of the SEZ will be created a special management company on the basis of current JSC «Voronezh Industrial Corporation», which coordinates the activities of the «Maslowski» industrial park. It was allocated 220 hectares of land in the southern part of the industrial park for SEZ creation.

This project will improve investment climate of the region, widening tax base, and also will create workplaces. According to preliminary estimates, SEZ could attract about 100 million rubles of private investment.

Nowadays there are 9 special economic zone of industrial type in Russia: Astrakhan, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Moscow, Pskov, Samara, Sverdlovsk region, on the Primorsky Territory, and in the Republic of Tatarstan as well.
